Selfridges on Oxford Street have debuted the world’s first champagne vending machine. And not just any type of champagne, it is Moet & Chandon.
The champers machine has been installed so that shoppers can enjoy it while they’re doing their Christmas shopping.
You won’t be able to pay for the champagne by traditional means though, and instead will have to purchase tokens.
The 200ml mini bottles, which are also decorated with Swarovski crystals, cost £17.99 each (about €20)
A Slefridges spokesperson said:n
‘The inclusion of the world’s first Moet vending machine makes a decadent addition to our Christmas emporium.’
Christmas, emporium, vending – all words that get me excited this time of year!!!
Another reason, possibly the main reason, to see the machine in action is to watch the special robotic arm that transfers the champagne safely when it is dispensed.
