The Washington Post Gives The Best Advice Ever

The Washington Post’s advice columnist  Amy Dickinson had some choice words for the writer of this letter,

The person who sent in this letter to the Ask Amy column states that he/she has a son, 17, who is a confirmed homosexual. Essentially Feeling Betrayed wants their son to stop the madness and just listen to good old-fashioned, homophobic reasoning.

“he will not stop being gay. I feel as if he is doing this to get back at me for forgetting his birthday for the past three years.”

Well Amy’s response is the best anyone could hope for;

“You could teach your son an important lesson by changing your own sexuality to show him how easy it is. Try it for the next year or so; Stop being a heterosexual to demonstrate to your son that a person’s sexuality is a matter of choice”

She goes on to say

“I assume my suggestion will evoke a reaction that your sexuality is at the core of who you are. The same is true for your son.”
